Farmer died of village Ahmed Dhandi in Guruharsahai police station died on Wednesday due to stress after he had lost his 57 Kanals of agricultural land to commission agents through the high court. As per information given by the Kissan Union Krantikari the deceased had borrowed an amount of Rs 20 thousands from a commission agent Harbhagwan and the commission agent had got the signed on some blank papers. The farmer Gurnam Singh paid the amount to the commission agent after selling his crop, but Harbhagwan allegedly had been asking him to deposit more money to him.
The panchayat had asked Harbhagwan to give back the signed document to the farmer, that had been denied by Harbhagwan and he had filed a case in the courts. The lower courts gave the decision in favour of Harbhagwan and the farmer Gurnam Singh went to Session Court and the Session Courts stayed the decision of lower courts and the commission agent had approached the High courts which gave its verdict against the farmer Gurnam Singh and ordered of Kurki of land.
After that Harbhagwan allegedly got the ownership of the land in his name. Gurnam Singh was so humiliated that he had been mentally depressed and as per Kissan Union the commission agent still was disturbing him mentally by giving fake complaints against the farmer and due all this mentally harassment given by Harbhagwan he died under this mental stress. The Kissan Union urged to arrest the commission agent immediately. The police had registered a case under Section 306 as per the complaint made by the Krantikari Kissan Union. The police had handed over the body to the family after the postmortem.
