The Punjab Police, which is suspecting the sand mafia, has now come under the scanner for seizure of sand.
Fazilka police registered a number of cases so far and took a heavy amount of sand, but no one knows where the sand caught. According to the sand cases registered in the district police, the police seized some sand-laden trolleys, which were left on the court orders, but no one knows where the property of the police case which was recovered from these trolleys is located. In fact, in the last one year, on the orders of the government, a number of cases were registered by the police in the operation of sand mafia, in which several accused were also arrested and sand trolleys were also seized.
The culprits came out of court with bail and their vehicles were returned, but the sand recovered during this time is not known, while the amount of sand that was exported in large quantities should have been auctioned. In this case, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Fazilka, Jarnail Singh said after interacting with the mining officer. According to them, till now about 200 sand sand cases have been registered, as far as sand is concerned, it is with the police, in which they have no roll nor they know the location of the sand. High officials are not getting any data on the sand duties, nor are they taking any responsibility for the recovery of sand. The question arises where the exported sand is so heavy? It is a matter of investigation, it should be investigated.
