The time has come when Ferozepur city may get its most awaited project of PGI Satellite Centre, which is a must requirement for the people living in this region. Lack of latest techniques in hospitals can be hence improved and having a research centre can provide the essential health services to the poor patients of the region. Eventually the people of the region will not have to go to PGI Chandigarh or go to the DMC/CMC Ludhiana to get treated.Giving the information MLA from Ferozepur Rural Constituency Satkar Kaur said that the Congress government was very serious to start this project at Ferozepur, which may start in a very short period. She however said that the land for the PGI Satellite Centre had been finalised in village Malwal at Ferozepur Ludhiana road, which is very close to Ferozepur city and cantonment both.The governing body of the PGI Chandigarh had cleared the project in its meeting held in the last month and now as the state government has also sorted out the problem of land, due to which main hurdles have been removed and the project will be started shortly.
