Patiala: In a major turn of events in the infamous Nabha jailbreak case, two gangsters Gurpreet Singh Sekhon and Neeta Deol along with Gurpreet Singh Sekhon’s cousin Manveer Sekhon have been shifted from the Nabha maximum security jail and sent to Kapurthala Jail.
According to sources in the police, these gangsters have been shifted from the high security Nabha Jail as the jail authorities have cited reasons for their shifting saying that because of the security point of view their presence is not possible as at any given time they may again set up their network after meeting other hardcore criminals in the jail. The jail authorities of Nabha Jail stated that its Gurpreet Singh Sekhon who established contacts with Ramanjit Singh alias Romi in the jail and later utilised those contacts and relations in getting break in jail.
It may be mentioned here that gangster Gurpreet Singh Sekhon played a pivotal role in the Nabha jailbreak case as he worked as a mastermind in the conspiracy.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Nabha Jaskirat Singh said that they have been shifted because of security reasons but he did not confirm where they have been taken to.
Interestingly, gangster Gurpreet Singh Sekhon played a major role in giving shape to the Nabha jailbreak case under which armed attackers stormed the high security Nabha Jail on November 27 last and freed two KLF militants and four gangsters.
