Punjab Gau Raksha Dal chief Satish Kumar along with two of his accomplices was on Sunday remanded to police custody in a case of assault, wrongful Restraint, sodomy, extortion and looting of people.Rajpura Police on Sunday claimed to have registered a success when a vigilance team went to Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh and arrested Punjab Gau Raksha Dal’s chief Satish Kumar along with his two other accomplices in an inter-state operation on Saturday night.Giving details about the same, Superintendent Of Police (SP) Rajinder Singh Sohal said that after getting a number of complaints, the police registered a case against Punjab Gau Raksha Dal chief Satish Kumar on
August 7 at Rajpura City Police Station under various sections of the IPC.Sohal said that Satish Kumar was on the run after registration of the case against him to avoid the arrest and the police was chasing him to arrest him. Upon getting concrete information that Satish Kumar was camping in Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh and getting the tip-off, a police party from here was sent to arrest him and due to the efforts put up by the police, Satish Kumar was in the net. He said that he was arrested on Saturday and brought back here.He further said that on Sunday, Satish Kumar and two of his other accomplices, Arun Kumar and Gouri, were produced before a duty magistrate who remanded them in police custody for one day. He said that now the police remand is on and the police is interrogating them.
