Punjab government’s ‘Ghar-Ghar wich Naukri’ campaign is in controversy. According to this campaign, 150 appointment letters will be handed-over to the unemployed youth, on Tuesday in a function to be held in Mohali. Most of these jobs are from private institutions. Private institutions have made these appointments during the job fair camps. But the truth of these jobs speaks volumes. For the state government, it is the matter of claiming credit only, while there is absolutely no role of the government in it. Who will take responsibility for the future of the job and salary, no official is ready to speak openly on this issue.Just like the ‘Apni Gaddi, Apna Rozgaar’ plan, in which the government had taken the credit only by flagging off the taxis, while the vehicle and the uniforms were purchased by the youth themselves, commission of fare was to be given by the Uber company.Various private companies took part in this government-made plan. Youth, who were selected were short-listed and would be given appointment letters, on Tuesday. It is a matter of fact that the appointment letter of some government jobs also will be handed-over in the same function. But interviews for such government appointments were not held at the job fairs. These include PWD, Water and Sanitation, PUDA and DPI.There are also doubts about private jobs. Only appointment letters would be handed over by the government of government jobs as well as private jobs. While the government does not have any agreement with any such private institutions. Neither these appointment letters will be approved by the government, nor there is any guarantee. The entire responsibility will lie on the private institution and candidate. For how long the candidate will be hired for the job, how much he will get, or what the future of the job will be, it all depends on the bosses of the private institution.
