Gurdaspur by-election: Voting Process starts: The Gurdaspur Lok Sabha by-election process has started from 8.00 am and people have started coming out to vote. In this elections, 15,17,436 voters are expected to vote. Strict arrangements have been made by the Election Commission for the election. There are about 15 lakh 17 thousand 436 voters in both the districts (Pathankot and Gurdaspur), out of which 8,07,924 are male voters and 7,79,498 are female voters, 85,906 voters of 18 to 19 years and 14 third gender voter.Election Commission has formed 1781 polling booths for by-election. In both the districts, there are 457 sensitive and 83 highly sensitive polling booths are formed. A total of 8500 polling staff have been deployed for election process, as well as a special thing to vote on the polling booth, an VVP AT machine is installed for voting.The Congress candidate Sunil Jakhar was quite busy in door to door campaigning on Tuesday in Bhoa, Dinanagar and Qadian, the BJP nominee Swaran Salaria on Tuesday started his door to door campaign from his native village chouhan and then covered Gharota and narot jaimal singh. The AAP candidate Major General Suresh Khajuria also went for few places.
