Ludhiana: The Youth Akali Dal leader, Gurdeep Singh Gosha specially went to meet Deputy Chief Minister, Sukhbir Singh Badal at Chandigarh in order to put forward the woes of the Akalgarh Market Association in front of him on Tuesday. He met with him as President of Action Committee constituted by the Akalgarh Market Association over the funds controversy in the Trust office.
During his meeting, he apprised the deputy chief minister about all the facts and handed over some documents with proofs regarding the issue. He also apprised Badal about the role played by the police in the whole issue. He demanded a thorough probe in the matter.
Gosha said the Deputy Chief Minister has assured him that a fair probe would be done in the matter and shopkeepers would get justice if there is any kind of embezzlement of funds.
Gosha further informed that he would also meet Deputy CM again in the Ludhiana tomorrow and all other Akali leaders would also be present on the occasion.
In the meantime, Akalgarh Market’s shopkeepers staged a protest by putting black bands on their heads against the Akalgarh Market Trust. They kept the market close for few hours and said that they would keep protesting till they get justice from the concerned authorities.
