Ludhiana: State president SC /ST Wing of Aam Aadmi Party, Gurdev Singh Mann has slammed the SAD-BJP combine for completely ignoring the interests of Dalits and weaker sections of society in last 9.5 years. Addressing a largely attended weaker sections’ rally organised by SC/ST Wing of the party at Jagraon on Tuesday, Mann blamed that during the rule of Badal government, a large number of serious atrocious incidents against Dalits had taken place in all parts of Punjab, in which, influential people of ruling parties were allegedly involved and the police failed to book the culprits due to the pressure from people in power.
Mann lambasted the SAD-BJP and Congress parties for alluring the weaker sections of the society by making false promises during the elections since Independence, but in actual, these parties had never given any due attention for the upliftment of the poor people after coming to power. He accused the SAD-BJP and the Congress for allegedly patronising corrupt syatem. He claimed that during last 69 years, no government had ever cared for the quality education to the children of weaker segment, as a result this segment failed to get access in government jobs.

Alleging the SAD leaders for threatening the volunteers of AAP, Mann claimed that they are completely desperate from the overwhelming support of the public to AAP in all parts of the state. He exhorted that the party volunteers to work hard for the success of the party keeping aside their local minor differences if any. He told them that all the volunteers should be working for bringing a change in the prevailing corrupt governing system and to usher in an era of clean and corruption free system in Punjab.
