ONE CONG ‘NETA’ WENT TO PAKISTAN AGAINST THE WISHES OF HIS CM, GAVE PAKISTAN A CHANCE TO TALK”
CONG BACK-STABBED FARMERS ON LOAN WAIVER PROMISE
Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed credit for the Dera Baba Nanak—Kartarpur Sahib cross border pilgrims corridor, saying, “ We have fulfilled the longstanding wishes and aspirations of the Sikh community by providing them direct access to the historic town where Guru Nanak Devji breathed his last “. Addressing a jam-packed ‘Thankings Giving Rally’ here organised by the Punjab BJP to thank the PM for his positive approach in giving a green signal to the pilgrims’ corridor, he said, “ We have answered the prayers of the Sikhs and granted them easy access to the holy town of Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan after 72 long years”. He pointed out that his government had sent union ministers Harsimrat Badal and H.S. Puri for the ground breaking Kartarpur Sahib corridor foundation laying ceremony held in Pakistan last month.
“ However one Congress ‘neta’ despite opposition from his chief minister went over and gave Pakistan an opportunity to talk.”, he said without elaborating on the Pakistani reaction and neither did he name the ‘neta’. The PM’s obvious reference was to Punjab Local Bodies minister Navjot Singh Sidhu who had been advised by CM Capt Amarinder Singh not to attend the foundation laying ceremony as Pakistani-trained terrorists were killing innocent people in India, including Punjab. Modi pointed out there would have been no need of a corridor had the Congress shown vision at the time of partition in 1947 and not allowed the holy town of Kartarpur Sahib to go to Pakistan. However now the best of infrastructure and facilities will be provided for pilgrims all along the corridor from the town of Dera Baba Nanak to the international border, he assured.
