Former Deputy Speaker of the Punjab legislative assembly, Bir Devinder Singh filed an application in the District Court and appealed to make a government witness in the Amritsar Improvement Trust scam. The court has sought a response from the Punjab government in today’s hearing. The next hearing of the case will be on November 29.Demanding fair investigation in this case, it has been said that the statements made in the vigilance complaint did not go on. According to the petition, complaint was made by Bir Devinder. Earlier in October the report was submitted by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau for dismissing the case. Bir Devinder was the speaker of the former Captain Government. After getting the government out of power, the first complaint in the case was given by Bir Devinder.After the Captain Amarinder Singh government, Akali BJP government came to power in the state and a case was registered against the officials and captain Amarinder singh in the Vigilance police station of Mohali for alleged irregularities in the 32 acres of Municipal corporation land. For nearly a decade the matter is considered in the court.
