Chandumajra blames state govt for pending projects in Punjab
ANANDPUR SAHIB.: The extension of National Fertilizer Limited (NFL) factory at Naya Nangal stopped because the state government did not release Rs 260 crore for the project. In addition to this, the railway line project that could connect two Takhats of Sikh Panth, Anandpur Sahib and Amritsar, could not initiated because the state government did not provide the required land. These words were jointly expressed by Member Parliament from Anandpur Sahib Prof Prem Singh Chandumajra and senior vice president of Shiromani Akali Dal and former Education Minister Dr Daljeet Singh Cheema here at Anandpur Sahib on Monday. They were at Anandpur Sahib to attend the special function organised by SGPC to mark the 350th Parkash Purav of Guru Gobind Singh here at Takhat Keshgarh Sahib. Both the veteran leaders blamed that the State level function held at Anandpur Sahib on December 24 in commemoration of 350th Parkash Purav was actually a Congress function. They further said that how could it be possible to celebrate Parkash Purav without the installation of Guru Granth Sahib. Both, Dr Cheema and Prof Chandumajra, expressed their displeasure over the fact that the government advertisements given in various newspapers relating to the 350th Parkash Purav, were carrying tampered image of Guru Gobind Singh and the image was actually copied from Napolean’s image. They said it is a serious mistake on the part of the government. They further asked for the clarification from the state government on this issue and demanded an inquiry in the matter. Talking on the issue of recent announcements of Captain Amarinder Singh for both Chamkaur Sahib and Anandpur Sahib, both the leaders said the Congress government has been making only announcements since it came into power.
