Farmer committed suicide due to debt in village Munda of Tarn Taran. Balraj Singh (36), a resident of village Gada, committed suicide due to unable to pay Aarthia’s debt. Police registered a case against Arhtiya on the basis of statements of the family members of the deceased farmer. According to the information, the farmer had a loan up to Rs 6 lakh. According to police investigations, the deceased’s father had taken a loan of up to 2 lakh rupees from Arhtiya in 2003, which had become close to 6 lakh due to interest rate. According to the family members of the deceaseds, the artery was harassing for debt due to which the farmer was upset. As such, he ended his life by hanging himself on Tuesday.
