Chandigarh(Narinder Jagga): Under the banner of ‘Die or oppose’, the activists will ask to CM Amrinder Singh about his oath, which he had taken before the election to eradicate drugs in four weeks. The organisation will organise black week from 1 to 7 July, against the rampant use of drug. Leader of campaign, Sardara Singh Johal, former Chancellor of Central University of Punjab, told that a team of 10-15 members will be constituted in each and every village to prevent the entry of drug suppliers. He said that the campaign will be peaceful and has no mean with violence, road block or gherao and no fund will be collected on the name of agitation.He told that to make the youth of Punjab drug addicts, the drug sellers are providing on packet free to a youth, who sells their drugs. He expressed his resentment that system is involved in drug game. Another member Advocate Hakam Singh told that 25 deaths of youths have been occurred in the June month, but Police is taking it lightly by handling as it natural deaths. Other associates told that despite the menace of drugs, no research has been conducted by the Government. It was demanded that to take effective steps to curb the menace and help rehabilitate the victims immediately and strict action should be taken against drug supplier. A victim lady was also present there, who expressed grief about the death of her young son due to drug in Kotkapura. Notable, Jathedar of Takhat Sri Damdama Sahib has already sought explanation from the CM for taking oath of Gutka Sahib and described it as dishonour to holy book.
