Major setback for AAP in Dinanagar, former assembly candidate joins BJP

Dinanagar for the 2017 Assembly polls, Joginder Singh Chinna, along with around 2 dozen senior leaders and hundreds of workers today joined the Bhartiya Janata Party Chinna and others joined the BJP fold in presence of BJP national vice-president Prabhat Jha and State secretary BJP Punjab Vineet Joshi. Alleging that AAP leader Bhagwant Mann and other leader have transformed the party into a private company, Chinna said that the AAP had left behind its ideals.Chinna said that after he came to know about the low-standards of the AAP leaders, he decided not to waste time but to join a party which is taking big decisions in the nation’s interest. “In order to defeat the anti-national Congress party, I and my colleagues have decided to join the BJP so that Swaran Salaria registers a heavy victory”, he said.Dinanagar market committee’s former chairman Tarsem Singh Malkachak, AAP’s block president Pratap Singh Jethuwal, district general secretary Balwinder Singh Dalia, district organizing secretary Shivjinder Singh Dala, district secretary Kala Singh Sahewal, district vice-president Baldev Singh Malkachak, block vice-president Gurpal Singh etc. also said that they were feeling suffocated in the party due to the wrong policies of its leaders. We have taken this decision and we will also appeal to our other friends and colleagues that AAP has lost its goal and they should also join the BJP for the larger interest of the nation, they said.Welcoming Chinna and other AAP leaders into the BJP fold, Prabhat Jha said that they will be given due respect in the party. “This move clearly indicates that Swaran Salaria’s victory is inevitable in Gurdaspur”, he said. Jha also assured them that he will come up to their expectations. Baljinder Singh Jempur, Tehal Singh (Behrampur), Joginder Pal Jinda (Behrampur), Master Ramnath (Rampur), former Sarpanch Yashpal Dida, city president Chajju Ram and Prashant Saini also left AAP and joined the BJP.
