While the state govt of Punjab issued order for closure of schools for 3 days owing to bad whether condition, most of the private schools in Ludhiana ignored the orders and asked the teachers to come to schools. initially causing confusion among parents.Many accidents had taken place in different parts of the state due to dense smog that had engulfed Punjab. In an official order the government asked all the school to shut down for 3 days to avoid any inconvenience to students as well as teachers.“The schools would remain shut from November 9 till 11th,” state Education Minister Aruna Chaudhary said in a statement. Eight students were among the 10 people killed in an accident related to dense fog in Bathinda district on Wednesday. Most of the private schools SMSed parents regarding closure of schools for 3 days but asked the teachers to attend the institutions without any off.
