A city based prominent school has lodged a complaint against an automobile eatery ‘TruckShuk’ with chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh for causing severe traffic jams in front of school.Sacred Heart Convent School, Sarabha Nagar has lodged the complaint stating that the vehicle should immediately be removed. The complaint states that waste and liquor bottle usually seen nearby the gate of the school could affect the students in their tender age.On being contacted to school principal Reshmi said that the area where TruckShuk is parked is allotted for school van parking and most of the times the ‘tandoor’ is set up in the area that could also cause a tragedy as a large number of students pass through the area.
Reshmi further claimed that eating joint always claimed that they have taken permission from Municipal Corporation. However, school authorities have registered a complaint with Deputy Commissioner and Chief Minister of Punjab twice. She complained that no action has been taken so far.She said that many parents have given their complaints to school authorities in this regard as this eatery is causing problems and lure students to have fast and junk food which is not healthy for them.
