Tickets will be given only with consultation of MLAs: Bajwa
Ludhiana – Cabinet Minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa who is also observer of Congress Party for MC elections said that the local MLAs and congress presidents would be consulted during the distribution of the tickets in upcoming Ludhiana Municipal Corporation Elections. He said the committee will scrutinize the application forms and tickets will be allocated on merit. Bajwa was talking to media after attending the state level function on the 203rd birth anniversary of Satguru Ram Singh Ji was held at Bhaini Sahib on Monday. Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Minister of Rural Development and Panchayats, Water Supply and Sanitation said that Satguru Ram Singh Ji, the founder of Namdhari Sect, had not only contributed for the freedom of the country but had played an important role to eradicate the social evils from the society. He said that the sacrifices made by Kuka martyrs under the leadership of Satguru Ram Singh Ji will remain an inspiration who had used non-cooperation as the political weapon against the British Rule successfully. Keeping in view of religious feeling of the people attached to Namdhari Sect, Bajwa said that the state government would soon make the arrangement of potable canal water and the work of new hockey astroturf will start before March 31.The Minister also assured that the history related to Namdhari Sect, would be written again if needed and this would be reserved in the museum and ibraries of the state.Sultanpur Lodhi MLA Navtej Singh Cheema, Former Minister Malkeet Singh Dakha, President Namdhari Sect HS Hanspal, former MLA Ranjeet Singh Talwandi and Senior Congress leader Sharanjeet Singh Dhillon along with Namdhari Surinder Singh, Krishan Kumar Bawa, and several other personalities were available.
