Jalandhar: Jalandhar boy Mandeep Singh has left Jalandhar to join Indian Cricket team at Mumbai .Mandeep took the blessings of his parents today before leaving . 24 year old cricketer was selected for Indian team’s Zimbabwe Tour to be started from 11th of this month.Teams will play 3 ODI on 11th,13th & 15th June and 3 T20 matches on 18th,20th & 22nd June. Mandeep’s father Hardev Singh was an athletic coach and retired Distt. Sports Officer from Jalandhar. He wasn’t earlier in favor of his cricketing career but later on decided to go with the will of the boy who had passion for cricket.
Hardev Singh just want him to be always a part of Indian Cricket Team .”To remain in the team he will have to keep giving good performance .I use to tell him to settle at the pitch before shifting the gear .Once the ball starts coming on the bat judgement becomes easier ” Father Hardev Singh tells about his advice to his son . Mother Surinder Kaur is also happy .She will continue her prayers to Waheguru for her cricketer son .”
I will watch all the matches as I am curious about his performance .His papa askes him to remain not-out always ” She tells with a smile. Mandeep agrees that he is usually nervous in the start of the every match .He says ” I will lie if I tell I am not nervous but I enjoy playing my cricket also .I have passion for this game since my early childhood but I practiced much during last one and a half years vigorous training . I am confident that I will play a very good game and meet the expectations of my country ” He said . Mandeep is an all rounder cricketer ,a right-hand bat and right arm medium pace bowler and a promising cricketer . EOM
