After registering a case against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Member Parliament from Sangrur, who along with his party activists misbehaved with media persons during a recent rally of the party in Bassi Pathana, the Bassi Pathana police with the help of media persons on Sunday identified three AAP volunteers who were allegedly involved in manhandling the journalists.
After registration of a case against Mann, the police has intensified their investigation and with the help of media person in the rally,identified AAP volunteers involved in the attack on them.

Chandigarh: A day after a clash was reported between Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers, Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann justified his situation on social media and said that SAD was trying to interrupt his rally and had attacked his supporters as they were left with no other option going by the popularity of AAP.
Mann said that he was addressing the rally in Malout, when a few miscreants stepped in with a motive to disturb the show. He added that the goons attacked AAP supporters when they tried to resist. Following the incident, AAP supporters, namely Sukhwinder Brar as well as many others sustained serious injuries and were admitted at civil hospital in Muktsar.
While giving an open challenge to the opponents, Mann said, “The show will continue according to the schedule without any fear of miscreants.”
While revealing his rally schedule, he said that on September 5, he will address his supporters at Miyanpur village in Rupnagar followed by a rally in Dana Mandi in Balachour and in the evening, he will address a rally in Sultanpur Lodhi.
While reacting on the case registered against him in Fatehgarh Sahib, Mann said that his opponents were trying to put pressure through a police case, but these conspiracies will not work. He added that he had raised the issue with the SSP and had filed a complaint against SAD workers, but SSP turned down his plea and said that according to law, no legal action can be taken against them.
Injured AAP activist names SAD leaders
AAP activist Sukhjinder Singh Udekaran, who has sustained head injury, named some SAD leaders in his statement given to the police, which include Nippy Aulakh, Lappi Enakhera, Randhir Samagh, Gurbinder Phoolewala, Babbu Nandgarh and Tona Lakhewali along with nearly 50-60 others.

SAD activist Gurbinder Gandhar has sustained five injuries, including two sharp injuries. Sandeep Nandgarh has got one sharp and one blunt injury. Jagmeet Singh Khane Ki Dhab too has got two sharp injuries. The trio is admitted to Civil Hospital, Malout. The doctors have reportedly declared them unfit to give their statements to police.
