Jalandhar:While Punjab government failed to address the burning issue of water pollution in Kala Sanghian drain, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shiv Raj Chauhan has invited renowned environmentalist Baba Balbir Singh Seechewal to visit Narmada river and chalk out strategy to clean the river.
Baba Seechewal would be heading to Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh to pay a visit to Narmada river from December 25 to 28. CM Shiv Raj Chauhan would be holding a meeting with Baba Seechewal to begin work on saving Narmada river.
The development comes at a time, when Baba Seechewal resigned as member of Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) after the Punjab government officials failed to work sincerely to save river waters of the state from toxic industrial flow.
While Punjab government officials ended up passing the buck, Madhya Pradesh government came calling for Baba Seechewal to set a role model in their state.
