Muktsar textile merchants protest central government GST. Cloth merchants comes out on streets in the protest against central government in Giddarbaha, Muktsar on their decision to impliment GST in the country from July 1. Textile association not only shut their work but also protest against the government in the city market.In this regard, Madan Lal Bansal, the Guardian and President Bhagwan Das Ahuja said that GST Due to the flaws in GST, clothing business will be affected significantly which would have a direct impact on poor and middle-class people. He said that garment is something which is the need of every person and after agriculture, the country has the highest employment potential in the field.He said that since the country’s independence, the Central and state governments have kept it tax free. He said that the process of clothing begins from lower level and is ready after passing through many processes. Therefore, taxing at every point is not justified. On the other hand, people indulge to Textile business are less educated so uderstanding the complexity of GST is not easy for them.So the GST applied to the clothes should be abolished immediately and save the garment traders. On this occasion, a large number of garment traders from the city were present including President Bhagwan Das Ahuja, Sham Lal Sethi, Jagdish Ahuja, Amit Gaba, Pradeep Bansal, Gaurav Bansal, Satish Bansal, Durga Prasad, Asa Nand Kataria, Ved Prakash, Valvant Roy.
