Ludhiana: Music from ancient times has healing powers and is something we are all touched, no matter what culture we are from believes citys’ shining and renowned Singer Rashi Sood. She started singing at the very young age of six years and since then there has been no looking back for her. Step by step, she has carved a niche for herself in the music industry.
“I have music in my life, I live for music, dream music, breath for music, Music tells you more about me as an artist than I can ever tell”, says Raashi Sood, who has recently made her playback debut in the Punjabi movie Bambukat starring Ammy Virk.
Talking about her musical journey Raashi said,” I started learning classical vocal music when I was in New Delhi. Classical music unearths the deepest of human emotions and portrays every human experience.” She further added that after my family moved to Punjab, I discovered my love for Punjabi language and assiduously made an effort to learn it. My biggest strength lies in my supporters who have always been there to persuade me to work towards achieving my dreams.
“I have been lucky. Opportunities don’t often come along”, says the budding artist. Getting the opportunity to sing the female version of Prabh Gill’s song “Jeen Di Gall” proved to be the turning point in her life. She has released a number of singles since then and is now gearing up to release her next one. Apart from singing, she has been a meticulous student bagging the university gold medal for standing first in B.Com Marketing Honours. She has also earned a distinction in her masters’ degree and believes that anyone who keeps learning stays forever young.
Telling about her never ending achievements she said that winning the Indian Idol and being featured on Sony Television was a life changing experience. She was also nominated at the Mirchi Music Awards in the “Best female singer of the year (Film)” category and also won an award for “the best album of the year (Bambukat).”
Giving a message to the youth she added,” I believe that staying dedicated towards your passion and being true to yourself are the keys to success. When you discover your own inner power then you see that you have the right ability, even the obligation, to create your own best reality. It is you and only you who can decide how far you will go in life, so stay focused on your goals and proceed further with utmost faith and determination.”
