Ludhiana: Students of XII standard were having their board exam of Music Vocal Theory on March 6 and as per the PSEB pattern, paper should consist of 4 long answer type questions (Q No 19 to 22) carrying 5 marks each with an option of internal choice.
But there was no internal choice in the question paper during the Music Vocal examination. Moreover, there was only one code of question paper instead of three. Students were very disappointed and shocked when they received the question paper. They should be given grace marks for this wrong setting of question paper as per the norms and demands by the students.
The students who appeared for Music Vocal exam claimed that the pattern was totally unexpected for them and due to such inconvenience, students were unhappy and the trouble made them discouraged while giving the exam.
The invigilators were helpless, as they were totally unaware of the pattern of the examination. Students were having no option so they gave the examination according to the pattern.
When Daily Post asked Sarabjit Singh, District Education Officer, Secondary said, “We will surely look into the matter after the students will give them the complaint in black and white. After that we will represent the matter to PSEB. The students who have been through the situation need to talk to their respective teachers and we will then decide the solution.”
The invigilators were helpless, as they were unaware of the pattern of the examination.
