Jalandhar: Union Health Minister for Health and Family Welfare JP Nadda and Minister of State (MoS) for Labour and Employment Bandaru Dattareya on Tuesday promised to open a technical centre at the DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology (DAVIET) here. The Health Minister and the MoS for Employment was here to celebrate ‘Vikas Parv’ on the occasion of the completion of two years of Modi government.
They also held an interaction with educationists, where they shared their vision to start a technical centre at DAVIET. Dattareya while appreciating the work done by the DAV institute in the field of education stated that DAV institutions were known for their quality education along with discipline. While sharing Prime Minister Modi’s initiative for welfare of the workforce, he stated that the government was striving towards making India a better workplace for all.
“The Centre government was all set to sign an MoU with Germany to improve the skill standards of the Indian workforce,” he said. Talking about India’s Universal Immunisation Programme (UIP), he said that the Health Ministry was all set to cover four more diseases, which included rotavirus, rubella, polio and adult cases of Japanese encephalitis. Those present on this occasion included Cabinet minister Chunni Lal Bhagat, MLA Manoranjan Kalia, Chief Parliamentary Secretary KD Bhandari. Union Health Minister JP Nadda and Minister of State for Labour and Employment Bandaru Dattareya being greeted at DAVIET on Tuesday.
