Ludhiana:Rotary Club members have made official announcement of the new forthcoming scheme for humanity which was started under gift of life programme. Now, they have taken the charge of providing free medical treatment facility to the people who will be coming from weaker section of the society and will be unable to bear the expenses of hard core diseases.
While talking to Daily Post team President of the Rotary Club Ludhiana Colonel RK Jain said that Rotary club has taken this initiative for brighten the future of the children of poor and needy family. Club is always working for the welfare of the poor and needy people. Moreover Club members are working in making environment eco-friendly as more than 150 plants of different species were planted by Rotarians and Ann’s Maintenance under plantation project.
He further stated that Mega medical camps are being organised by the members after regular intervals and 12 patients were recommended for cataract operation and whole treatment was done under the guidance of Club members and totally free of cost.
Forty students got scholarships under different education scheme started by members. Club has also started more 13 projects. Under these projects, a kindness hut has been started at Raikot wherein used clothes and other items are distributed among the poor and needy.
