The Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports (NIS) has decided to set up a special recovery swimming pool in its premises with an aim to further improve the fitness of the sportspersons. The work over this project is going to cost Rs 5.50 crore, has been initiated. The efforts are on to complete the job in a fixed time frame so that the sportspersons will get this facility as early as possible.
It came to the notice of higher officials that the sportspersons will never overcome their fitness issues and struggle throughout the tear. These sources pointed out further that the fitness issues are affecting the daily routine of the sportspersons and it generally affects their stamina also. Keeping this in mind the institute has decided to go for the construction of the state of the art Special Recovery Swimming Pool.
The sources further added that the construction of the pool has been started and according to the plan it will become operational by the next year and it will provide the sportspersons a chance to get their hundred percent fitness.
Sources said that its a specially designed Pool and its just one Meter’s in depth and as long as 25 meters in length. The sources claimed that the construction of the Pool will be done as per accordingly to the design and it will be environmental friendly also.They claimed that the Sportspersons can avail the use of the pool for the annual basis as its primarily an indoor pool.
They further said that the pool is a major portion of the Sports Medicine Department also and the department is going to take control of the swimming pool as early as its completed. Sources said that swimming is the best exercise to maintain the physical fitness as the muscles of the body get better fitness because of it.
