The highly placed sources in the state government on the condition of anonymity told Daily Post on Sunday evening that it is a special exercise to ascertain the mood of the people over the working of the state government. They are collecting a data base that will help in modifying the working style of the government in days to come. These sources pointed out that the government is making attempts to get in touch with as many as people in the state and to know their suggestions also. When asked how the government getting the numbers of the people to be called then the sources said that the work has been assigned to a telly calling the agency to reach out to the people and the calls have been made at random.
It may be mentioned here that earlier the state government had started similar exercise last month when the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal made direct calls to the people again at random base to get the feedback from the beneficiaries of different Pro-Poor Welfare Schemes and at that time the government had said that its an attempt to get first-hand information from the people involved in the schemes.

He said, “I suggested that curtailing of the corruption in the government offices is a must as the people find tough in getting their work done without the corruption.”
Whereas, another student of Khalsa College Robin Sharma said, “When I received a call then I suggested that the state government must formulate some concrete policies and programmes to eradicate the problem of unemployment from the state as a large number of youth of the state is living under a lot of depression.”
