Chandigarh: Union Minister for Food Processing Industries Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Tuesday urged the Sikh Sangat to organise “thikri pahra” in Gurdwaras to defeat the AAP conspiracy to create disturbance in the state and blame the ruling SAD-BJP alliance for the same.
In a statement here, Harsimrat said the recent meeting of Arvind Kejriwal with radicals at the residence of Khalistan Commando Force (KCF) militant Gurinder Singh Ghali had made it clear that AAP had instigated certain elements to indulge in sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib. She said these same elements had become active again after holding meetings with Kejriwal and two sacrilege cases had been reported from Lambi and Muktsar. “I appeal to the Sikh Sangat to guard their Gurdwaras vigorously and thwart attempts to destroy the peace and communal harmony in the state. Guardians of temples and churches should also be vigilant as these outside forces could target them also,” she added.
She said AAP had been instigating radicals to target the Badal family also. She said Gurbachan Singh, who had thrown a shoe at CM Parkash Singh Badal at Lambi, was the brother of radical leader Amrik Singh Ajnala who was patronised by AAP. “Other people who were accused of committing sacrilege have also now openly associated with AAP proving they were hand in glove in indulging in these dastardly acts,” she added.
Harsimrat also urged Punjabis to recognise the intentions of AAP. “This is the same party which has bulldozed the historic ‘piau’ at Gurdwara Sisganj in Delhi. An AAP legislator from Delhi was arrested for masterminding the desecration of the holy Koran at Malerkotla. Now these same people are meeting at the residence of terrorist Gurinder Singh who was responsible for throwing chopped tails of cows in temples. These people cannot be trusted with your votes.”
She also urged Punjabis to reject the corrupt practices of AAP. “AAP Talwandi Sabo candidate Bajinder Kaur has been caught distributing liquor. AAP candidates are also distributing money in urban areas,” she said.
