A panel discussion on GST-its implications was organised on Monday at Kamla Lohtia S.D. College, Ludhiana by PG Department of Economics. Students from various streams participated in this discussion and express their views on Goods and Service Tax (GST) and its possible implications on various segments of India’s Economy.
The general outcome of discussion was that the proposed tax may have growth promoting as well as growth retarding effects and also there are still some unexplored areas which will be clear only when the tax is implemented.
The discussion was organised under the guidance of Dr. Mohd. Saleem, Head, P.G. Department Economics along with the faculty members, Radha and Minakshi Garg.
The winners were awarded certificates and trophies. Officiating principal Sandeep Chanana, Sunil Aggarwal, President and Vice President Sandeep Aggarwal, R. D. Singhal (Secretary) of College Managing Committee appreciated the efforts of the faculty and students and exhorted them to continue with these kinds of academic endeavors.
