Patiala Police register human trafficking case, Police book two
Patiala(Daily Post Correspondent) – Patiala Police claimed to have registered a case of human trafficking against a couple after thoroughly conducting the investigation in the case even though no arrest has been made in this regard.According to the sources in the police department, one complainant Simran Singh son of Dyal Singh, a resident of the Village Shikhupura, come forward a complaint No. 6097 on December 27, 2016, in which he alleged that one Supinder Pal Singh son of Harmail Singh, and his wife Sukhraj Kaur, resident’s of the Urban Estate Phase One, made a promise to him that they will send his son to a foreign country with a stipulated time frame and took in cash an amount of Rs Four Lakh from him.In the complaint, he said that but they fail to fulfill their promise and also fail to return the money taken from him as well. He said that they gave him a cheque to settle the issue but that cheque too bounced. The Police thoroughly investigated the case and at the conclusion now registered a case under FIR No. 199 under section 420 of the IPC against the couple at the urban Estate Police Station here. The Police said that as the case has been registered in this regard but so far no arrest has been made but hope to get the couple soon.
