Patiala: PSPCL employee booked for fraud. The Civil Lines Police Station here on Saturday registered a case of fraud against an employee of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) as the said employee allegedly took Rs 8 lakh from one person on the pretext to give a job to his son as Junior Engineer (JE) in PSPCL but later he fails to fulfill his commitment. Meanwhile, he also failed to return the money taken from him. According to the sources in the Police Department, Ram Singh, a resident of the Village Kotli Kalebriya, Maur Mandi district Mansa, come forward with a complaint to the police.In the complaint, he stated that he gave Rs 8 lakh to Avtar Singh PSPCL employee), resident of the Power Colony Number 2 at Patiala. Avtar promised Ram Singh arrange a job as JE in PSPCL Department for his son but after taking money from him he fails to fulfill his commitment. Later, when Ram Singh asked to return his money, Avtar fails to return the money. While taking an action over the complaint number 2387 lodged by Ram Singh police registered an FIR number 17 under Section 420 of IPC against PSPCL employee Avtar Singh at the Civil Lines Police Station here. The police also stated that a case in this connection has been registered but so far no arrest has been made as a further investigation is said to be still.
