A letter to PM
Honourable Prime Minister of India
Government of India
Sub: Regarding exemption of G.S.T on “Sikh Kakars”
With due respect, we like to bring it in your kind notice that Govt. has imposed TAXES (SALES TAXES, VAT) on “Sikh Kakars” like Kirpan, Gattra(Belt to hold kirpan), Kanga (Wooden Comb), and Kara (Iron and Steel Bangle) which were exempted from TAXES (SALES TAX, VAT) for the last 20 years.
We also like to remind your good self that, the Sikh Kakars are worn by the Selected Sikhs only, not by whole Sikh community. Hence, the revenue amount collected is very small, having no loss in the revenue of the Govt. if Govt. can exempt “Churi” (Bangle) from G.S.T then there is no logic to impose G.S.T on Kakars. The Kakar Industries is presently and continuously facing bad days. Percent GST Kara Khalsa
In the last we should say please make exemption in these items we shall be highly.
thankful to you.
