LUDHIANA: “Congress Akali labeo ni labne, aam admi ne jado vota paunea” was the song repeatedly played on speakers during the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) election campaign of Punjab started by a road show organised by HS Phoolka who is the candidate of Dakha constituency for upcoming assembly elections.
Large number of AAP volunteers gathered on Ferozepur road here on Friday morning to support the HS Phoolka road show organised to aware the people of Dakha constituency as some of the slogans were raised to motivate the people so that they can support AAP leader.
Before starting the AAP campaign, HS Phoolka told the media that this is the starting of AAP election campaign and claimed that “AAP would definitely defeat the other parties and would work for the welfare of people”.
When asked about the allegation levelled by Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal that AAP was selling tickets, Phoolka alleged that selling of tickets is the policy of the SAD-BJP and Congress party. He also claimed that all the corrupt leaders and workers are in SAD not in AAP.
The road show started from Ferozepur road and it passed through different areas including Baddowal and Mullanpur and culminated at Chhapar.
During the road show, volunteers were raising the slogans against other parties and in favour Phoolka. Many of the residents from different villages and areas of Dakha constituency responded to the road show by joining road show.
A large number of volunteers gathered at Mullanpur AAP Office to become the part of the road show.
Road show started from Ferozepur road created traffic snarls for 30 minutes in the morning as commuters have to take alternate way to reach their destinations. Volunteers of AAP have parked their vehicles at middle of the road due to which traffic snarls take place. As the road was chocked commuters have to choose wrong side to cross the road.
