Chandigarh: All India Sikh Conference, based in Delhi, has alleged that Advocate HS Phoolka has been protecting culprits of 1984 anti-Sikhs riots by misleading victims and Sikh community. President of Conference, Gurcharan Singh Babbar alleged that neither Phoolka filed a single case of widows in the court, nor he made Congressmen, Police officers and other a party in the case. He claimed that Phoolka is glove in hand with Congress, who has helped him to collect billions of rupees on the name of Sikhs. Other hand, while talking to Daily Post over the Phone, Phoolka replied that he was busy in contesting cases against Congress leaders Sajjan Kumar and Taytlor and why someone is trying to obstruct his way.
In an organised Press Conference in Chandigarh Press Club, Babbar alleged that during the 84 riots, HS Phoolka had been living in a flat of Janta Apartment of Delhi west with old model Vespa scooter, but during that period on the name of contesting of riots cases, how Phoolka became the owner of huge property worth Rs 300 crore. He said that Phoolka has now luxury bungalows in Delhi, Punjab and some other states and convoy of luxury cars. Babbar told that affidavits of widows had been submitted in English, while complainants were hardly known how to write or read Punjabi or Hindi, but he had deceived them by deleting names of Congress leaders, Police officers and others from the English written complaints. He also alleged that affidavits had been prepared on the behest of Intelligence agencies and collusion of Congress leaders after allegedly accepting huge money. In a letter, written to President of India, Vice-President, PM, Chief Justice of Supreme Court of India and others, Babbar demanded to initiate legal against Phoolka along with others in 1984 riots. Notable, according to affidavit, filed by Phooka during the Punjab Assembly election on January 17, 2017, Phoolka, his wife and son have moveable and immovable property worth Rs 10.5 crore.
When contacted to HS Phoolka, he said that he was unaware about Babbar, but after great efforts the cases against Sajjan and Taytler could be started and tomorrow he has to contest the case against Taytler. Ignoring all allegation, Phoolka said whosoever want to do, he can.
