Strengthening Police control also on agenda
Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Law and Order Rohit Chaudhary on Friday visited Ludhiana and discussed law and order situation with Police Commissioner and other officials.
The officials discussed five point agenda of Punjab government which includes maintaining law and order situation, to nab gangsters and redressal of Public complaints on priority. ADGP said that the Punjab government has issued special directions to ensure proper law and order situation in city. To implement the orders the meeting was organized with Police Commissioner, DCP, ADCP and ACP rank officers.
During the meeting it was decided that the Police will make the crime map of last five years and specify the nature of crime reported in last five years. To nab the gangsters, the police will coordinate with various government agencies working to end the gangs in state.
An important decision to strengthen the Police control room was also taken in the meeting. Earlier several complaints of no response from control room were reported. To help the people in emergency the police have decided to strengthen the control room.
The officials have asked the staff on field duty or at police stations to remain vigilant and perform the duty with dedication and honesty. It was also decided to hold Police Public meetings at Police station levels to redress the grievances of public.
During the meeting, Police commissioner RN Dhoke, DCP, ADCP and ACP rank officials were present.
