Police recovered 8 lac drug money from a smuggler,
Ferozepur(Subhash Kakkar) – Ferozepur police recovered cash worth Rs. 8ugs n money from a smuggler and also arrestedan other person with 144000 rupee fake currency from him, whereas his other accomplice managed to escape. As per information the Arif Ke police had arrested a smuggler in the night between 28-29 September with 200 grams of heroine powder along with an i20 car and the Arifke police had registered a case against the smuggler who had been identified as Sarbjeet Singh of village Niizam Wala and succeeded to get police remand. During the police remand the accused Sarbjit told that he had a land near Tapu Picket across Muthian wala and he had been using to hide out the heroine in his land and used to bring in small portions. From this heroine he had sold the 200 gram of heroine and hidden out the amount of Rs. 8 lac in the box of wheat storage. Police recovered the cash worth Rs. 8 lac from the told place. In another case the CIA staff police had managed to bust a gang of fake currency and recovered fake currency notes worth 144000 from a person whereas his other accomplice managed to escape. As per information given by Inspector Avtar Singh some source informed the police that there were some people who had been bringing the fake currency notes and consume them in the Ferozepur City and Cantt market. The police made raid and arrested one Manjit Singh whereas his other accomplice Gurbaj Singh had managed to escape. The police had been searching the escaped accused and had been investigating the matter seriously.
