Ludhiana: Seven years after the Commissionerate system came into existence, the Ludhiana police restructured the jurisdiction of Police stations. The decision was taken by Ludhiana Police Commissioner Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh.
The Police have emerged the areas of six Police stations into adjoining Police stations and now the total number of Police stations were 23 including Women police station. One new Police station- Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar was established in commissionerate.
The areas of Police station Sadar, SBS Nagar, Moti Nagar, division number 4, Jamalpur, Division number 5 was emerged into adjoining Police stations.
The area of police station Sadar has been emerged into different Police stations including Dugri, Sarabha Nagar, BRS Nagar and others. SBS Nagar Police station which was established around two years ago was also emerged into adjoining Police stations.
The areas of Police station Moti Nagar and Jamalpur were also emerged into division number 7 and 6. The area of Police station Division number 4 has been emerged into Police station Daresi and areas under division number 5 into Police station division number 8. The Police station division number 8 has been named as Police station civil Lines.

- Area of Police station Sadar emerged into Dugri and other adjoining Police stations.
- The division number 8 police station has been renamed as civil Lines Police station and will cover the areas of Police station division number 5.
- The areas of division number 4 has been included into Police station Daresi.
- Areas of Police station Moti Nagar, Jamalpur and SBS Nagar were also emerged into adjoining Police stations.
