Police yet to arrest five accused in Rs 1.18 cr heist.
Jalandhar – After arresting the two accused in the Rs 1.18 crore heist, the Jalandhar Rural Police was yet to arrest the five other accused including the mastermind of the broad daylight HDFC ATM Filling Bank Van loot. DIG Jalandhar Range Jaskaran Singh said that the police was tracing the five accused, who were still at large. “Efforts were to arrest the five accused at the earliest.As of now, we can’t disclose much but the police was on the job to trace them”, he said. Among the other five accused were Satinderpal Singh alias Happy, a resident of Subhanpur, Sukhwinder Singh alias Nimma, a resident of Lakhan Khole village, Gurpreet Singh from Kamrava village and Sukhdev Singh alias Sonu both from Bholath and Hardeep Singh Lakham Kalan in Kapurthala. On Saturday, the police had arrested Jaskaran Singh, a resident of Budhewal Miyan village of Gurdaspur district and recovered Rs 14 lakh from him. The police had arrested Ranjit Singh from Cheema village in Kartarpur on Friday evening, when the Rs 1.18 crore heist took place on Adampur Bhogpur road near Manakrai village, bank van was carrying Rs 2.16 crore to be filled in all the local ATMs of the bank Notably, Satinderpal was a former employee of the HDFC bank and planned the heist along with other accused.
