Ludhiana:Superintending Engineer Mandeep Singh, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has written a letter to the authorities against the alleged corrupt employees of Sundar Nagar which seems as letter bomb on employees.
The letter leads to massive protest by the employees of Sundar Nagar here on Friday. The staff staged protest on Friday demanding that the SE should take back the letter written to the higher authorities otherwise they will intensify the protest and will also take legal action against the SE.
According to the information, the staff of Sundar nagar division of PSPCL stood against a letter written by the SE wherein the SE has alleged that the staff and even the additional Superintending Engineer, heading the division of being corrupt.
Mandeep Singh, SE said that he has written letter to the higher authorities as the staff seems to be involved in corrupt practices. Further he said that he has done his work and now it is on the higher authorities that what action is taken.
However concerned charge over the Nagar is by gurpreet Singh who is not in the town and he claimed that he is not aware of the matter and will see after coming back to the town. However some of the highly places sources confirmed that names of different division under corrupt practices were also written.
Sources in the department said that Chief Engineer (North) Davinder Singh Tiwana who is holding the charge of Chief Engineer (Ludhiana central) has called a meeting on Monday with the members of union who are protesting against the SE.
Ramesh Kumar and Gopal Singh union members cl.aimed that everyone is under the scanner of the higher authorities as got defamed due to this wrongly highlighted issued. SE should mark complaint against the concern regarding this issue so that all the people should not suffer.
Letter containing the details of corrupt practices by the employees, agents seen normally near the office. However, properly inquiry against the corrupt employees is being asked from the higher authorities.
