DP correspondent , Ludhiana:-To keep the activities and rehabilitation of rescued bonded child laborers, the district administration has formed five committees. The members of committee will ensure that the rescued children’s will not indulge in labor work. In last few months the district level task force has rescued 80 bonded laborers below the age of 14. To check whether the children’s were again indulging in labor work, the Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Aggarwal has formed five committees to check the activities of rescued children’s. The members of committees will submit report in the office of Deputy Commissioner.DC Pradeep Aggarwal said that the task force Rescued Bonded Child Laborers below 14 years of age from factories and other units. After the medical examination the children’s were handed over to families or sent at Child care homes. But it was found that again the children’s indulge in labor work. To keep check on the activities of rescued childrens and rehabilitation the five committees have been formed which would ensure that children’s will not involve in labor work.The committees comprising officials of police, education and NGOs will conduct the counseling of parents of children’s and makes efforts for the rehabilitation and education of rescued children’s, added DC. DC said that they have traced two children’s who have started visiting schools after they were rescued by task force from factories. The administration will ensure that every child will focus on his future and maintain distance from child labor.
