Jalandhar: A day before Punjab goes to assembly elections, Union Minister and Punjab BJP president Vijay Sampla along with Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Gujral paid obeisance at Doaba’s Ravidassia sect – Dera Sachkhand Ballan and Dera Joda.
Sampla and Gujral met Dera Ballan sect head Sant Niranjan Dass and visited Dera Sant Baba Pritam Das Maharaj Joda Wale. Both the leaders visited the deras along with party workers.
State party secretary Vineet Joshi said that Sampla and Gujral visited Dera Sachkhand Ballan like common devotees and paid their obeisance there. “Similarly, the duo visited Dera Sant Baba Pritam Das Maharaj Joda Wale and
received the blessings. Besides, Sampla and Gujral many other prominent persons were present on the occasion,” he said.
Recently, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi also visited Dera Ballan along with senior party leaders. It is pertinent to mention that political top shots have been hopping off from one religious Dera of the region to other since the last many months.
