Amarpreet Singh Makkar, Ludhiana: SGPC condemns threats Dera followers. The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) Chief Kirpal Singh Badungar has condemned the threats issued by Dera Sacha followers ahead of verdict of CBI court on Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim in sexual exploitation case. SGPC president has also appealed the Sikh commiuntiy to maintain peace and harmony as some anti social elements might provoke Sikh community to clash with Dera followers.SGPC president who visited the residence of executive member Gurcharan Singh Grewal in Jagraon said that the issue of Dera Sacha shouldn’t be linked with any religion and every people should follow the teachings of Guru to maintain peace and harmony. Badungar said that every person should respect the verdict of court and should not indulge in any kind of violence. Though the followers of Dera were issuing threats of violence if verdict will go against Dera chief and this is condemnable. SGPC condemns threats Dera followers.SGPC President said that to maintain law and order and deal with anti social elemtns is responsibility of government and administration and if things will not go well government will be held responsible for the situation, said Badungar while adding that Punjab has already seen terrorism and suffered huge loss. Talking about farmers suicides, Badunagr said that SGPc will start campaign to stop farmer’s suicides. SGPC member Gurcharan Singh Grewal said that they will play positive role to avoid any clash between Dera followers and Sikhs.
