Ferozepur: A large number of Sikh radicals urged the Police administration to arrest those Dera premis who had been booked a month ago by the Mallawala Police who had injured the Sikh radicals and the cops by throwing red chilly powder in their eyes when they had been protesting against the religious discourse arranged by the Dera premis at Mallanwala on 25th of February 2017. The Sikh activists marked their presence in the courts, after getting bail in a case that was registered against them on the statement of the Dera premis for assaulting them during their religious discourse.
The Sikh leader Dilbagh Singh said that the police had taken a one sided action against the sikhs by only arresting them, where as the police had registered cases against both sides but did not arrest the Dera premis who had injured the sikhs and the cops by throwing the red chilly powder in their eyes when they had been lodging their peaceful protest. Dilbagh Singh also accused the former SAD government behind this one side action of the police and said that as the Congress government had taken charge in the state and they hope that the new Government take this issue seriously and arrest the dera premis also. He said that the under the politics of vendetta the SAD, the police had registered totally fake cases against them and did not take any action against the dera premis who were the real culprits of the incidences.
It is to mention that there were clashes between Sikh radicals and the dera premis at Makhu and Mallamwala in the last month and the police ahd registered cases against the Sikhs as well as the dera premis, but arrested the three dozen sikh radicals who had got bail from the courts after many days.
