Sri Guru Ravidass Sadhu Samparda Society goes neutral on RSS programme in Delhi
Jalandhar(DP Correspondent) – The Sri Guru Ravidass Sadhu Samparda Society religious leaders, which cover 300 dalit deras in Punjab Wednesday said that they would take a call on Rashtriya Sikh Sangat (RSS) programme on 350th Parkash Purab of Guru Gobind Singh in Delhi, only if they were invited by the RSS.Sant Kulwant Ram, the newly appointed president of the society said that they were not against any individual attending the RSS programme scheduled for October 25 in Delhi but they would decide about the event, only if an invitation was extended to them. The society leaders preferred to maintain a neutral stand, when asked if RSS was meddling with Sikh affairs. “We have got nothing to do with RSS but we all our decisions in this regard would be unanimous”, they maintained. However, when pointed out that recently, the former president of the society Sant Nirmal Dass was removed from the post of president, the leaders said, “Sant Nirmal Dass was removed from the post of president because he decided on his own to attend the foundation day programme of RSS in Nagpur. This issue was discussed in the society meeting and he was removed from the post”, they said. Notably, many panthic bodies have strongly reacted to the Parkash Purab of Guru Gobind Singh to be celebrated by the RSS in Delhi. They termed this move of the RSS as one meddling with Sikh affairs.
