STF Amritsar has got the major success by arresting four drug Peddlers who were smuggling on International level with 6 kg of heroin and currency worth Rs. 19 lakh 71 thousand. The cost of heroine in an International market is worth Rs. 30 crore.Peddlers have been arrested under the special campaign led by Harpreet Singh Sidhu IPS, Additional director general of Police,on the directions of Rashpal singh P.P.S, Sub Inspector general police STF border Zone Amritsar, Kirpal singh DSP, STF Inspector Sukhwinder Singh, Inspector Arun Sharma, SI Prabhjeet Singh and SI Shinder Singh recovered 6 kg of heroin from a lady including Indian currency notes worth 19 lakh 71 thousand rupees and arrested four drug peddlers during a joint operation at international level.According to the officials Joginder singh alias Shammi resident of Nihala Kilcha Ferozepur( who is in central jail Amritsar) and Nirwail singh resident of Basti Kishan Singh Wala, Ferozepur has direct contact with Pakistani smugglers who supply drugs in Punjab and other regions which has been smuggled at different places including Punjab by their relatives and other companions. Case No. 23 has been registered against them under the crime section 21,25,27A, 29/61/85 N.D.P.S act in Amritsar police station. Investigation is underway from accused.
