The Shiromani Akali Dal today strongly condemned new Congress government to stop the compensation given by the SAD-BJP government to the farmers and withdraw the checks given to the farmers. He said that if the prohibited compensation did not start immediately, then SAD would be in the Majitha area.The issue will start the movement. Majha’s senior Akali leaders Gulzar Singh Ranike, Virsa Singh Valtoha and Harmeet Singh Dhillon said that the new Congress government has stopped paying Rs 10,000 per acre compensation to the border farmers of land who are beyond the fencing wire. This action of the government is condemnable, it is also a matter of action that the checks for compensation given to the farmers are also being withdrawn. He said that the revenue department officials have approached the farmers and they have withdrawn their checks by saying that they will be issued a check again later.The Akali leaders said that keeping in view the difficulties of the farming farmers who crossed the fencing wires with Pakistan, Parkash Singh Badal increased his compensation in 2016 to Rs. 10,000 per acre. Money was also approved for this work and was sent to district headquarters. Some of this money was also distributed to the farmers. At the same time, the election code went down and this process could not be completed.Now we came to know that the farmers who had been given checks, the revenue officials had withdrawn those checks from them. Even for this work, the money which was send to the district headquarters was taken back. which is causing huge anger among the farmers.
