Ferozepur:Two incidents of clashes in within six days between radical Sikh organizations and Dera Sacha Sauda premis has put a question mark on law and order situation and communal harmony going for a toss in Punjab.
At present both the sides do not look to relent because of which tension in the region has been rising every day.
Though police acted swiftly and diffused the tension but Sikh radicals and Dera premis are preparing to attack each other in near future.
During incident at Mallanwala, people had climbed on terrace to attack each other and used red chili powder to wade of cops. Attackers even used sharp edged swords and base ball bats to attack their opponents in both the incidents reported in Ferozepur.
It is pertinent to mention that some followers of Dera Sacha Sauda had planned to organize religious discourse ‘Naam Charcha’ at Mallanwala on Saturday, where large number activists belonging to Ek Noor Khalsa, Damdami Taksal, Raj Krega Khalsa and other organizations raised the slogans against DERA chief Ram Rahim and pelted stones and bricks on premis.
Some Dera followers attacked with red chili powder in the eyes of Gurpreet Singh, Gursewak Singh, Amarjit Singh and Balwinder Singh along with two cops. The Sikh organizations had accused state government of shielding Dera followers.
