Faridkot: District Transport Office of the district has once again come in the news, and again for not the good reason. This time the office has lost three tablets which were reportedly used for the signal testing purposes.
Tablet is a device that allows you to not only read e-books with ease but also to make calls and stay connected.
According to the complaint lodged by the DTO staff, some unidentified persons broke open the office on Tuesday night. After the staff returned in the morning found the locks of the record rooms were lying broken and some files were scattered on the floor.
Later, they realised that the three tablets which belonged to Automated Driving Test Centre were missing. The staff, worried over seeing the scene, also launched the operation to trace the files, if went missing. It is pertinent to mention that earlier Vigilance Bureau officials have found various discrepancies in the office. The then DTO was also booked for involved in a major scandal. The official record related to fancy numbers had also gone missing from the office.
