Ludhiana: Three teenagers were feared drowned while taking dip in canal at village Jassowal near Dehlon on Saturday late evening. The Police have initiated rescue operation with the help of local divers but the teenagers were still missing.
The victims were identified as Surinder of Makkar colony Giaspura, Juhar a singh and Vikas Kumar of Gill road have gone to village Jassowal to take dip in canal crossing along the village. The villagers saw the victims while drowning and raised alarm, but the villagers did not reached to victims and the teenagers washed away.
The victims were of 17-18 years of age group. On being informed cops from Police station Dehlon reached the spot and initiated investigation with the help of local divers. The victims were identified from the clothes found lying near the banks of canal. SHO at Police station Dehlon said that rescue operation is on but there is no clue of the teenagers. The adjoining police stations of the area were also informed.
